Nic Hamel
PhD
Nic Hamel holds a PhD in Performance as Public Practice from the University of Texas at Austin, an MFA in Acting from Louisiana State University, as well as a BFA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University. He has taught for Theatre departments at Louisiana State University, University of Texas at Austin, and James Madison University.
Acting
Nic has appeared as an actor and singer on stages across the United States and Canada.
Research
Nic’s scholarly work exists at the confluence of disability activism and performance aesthetics.
Teaching
Nic has designed and taught courses in Intro to Theatre, Acting, Theatre History, Literature, and Theory.
